About
My Story
I began my movement journey as a dancer from the age of five. I come from a family of teachers and athletes, so it’s in my blood! My goal in teaching is both to help my students feel at home in themselves and unafraid and empowered to ask great things of their bodies.
I returned home to Boston after college in 2005, worked as a dance teacher, and spent just about all of my free time practicing heated power vinyasa at the Baptiste studios. I eventually worked as a manager there and studied for my first 100 teaching hours as well as the Art of Assisting.
In 2015, I studied for my 200 hour teaching certification at South Boston Yoga, RIP, under the exceptional guidance of David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund, who advanced my understanding of the practice more than I can possibly say. In 2020, I built the Yoga Program at VITAL Brooklyn, and now direct the Yoga Program at VITAL’s new location in the Lower East Side.
It is my immeasurable pleasure to share what I have learned from all of my teachers, and nerd out on all things yoga day in and day out. My approach to yoga and teaching is firmly rooted in a scientific understanding of the physical, chemical, and emotional benefits of the practice. While I love to offer physical challenges in a vinyasa class, I am equally interested in the power of breathing, myofascial release techniques and self-massage to reduce stress. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, from children to the elderly, and from the athletic to the those struggling with their health.
Come see me at VITAL’s new location in the Lower East Side or book a private session.
See you on your mat!
